Concertone Tenor Banjo

This banjo has great volume. The Concertone is a quality
made circa 1920's vintage tenor banjo with resonator. It
has
a 1/4" steel
tone ring that is inset on a 11" diameter rim. The
heavy flange is nickel-plated brass. The banjo as been
equipped
with
new string nut, strings, brass tailpiece and bridge. The
straight 19-fret neck has a 23 1/4" scale length,
with 1 1/8" width
at the first fret. The neck is laminated down the
center. The banjo is very clean with all of its hooks and
nuts and original hardware. The original ivoroid-knob
tuning
pegs
are fully
functional. The peghead veneer and fingerboard is a nice
pearloid with engraved designs. The banjo has
inlaid marquetry with bird's eye maple and inlayed marquetry
on the resonator. Great care has been taken to set this banjo up for a great playing experience.

Some well-known Irish banjo players prefer 17-Fret necks. Upon request, this banjo can be provided as a CELTIC TENOR BANJO at an additional charge of $20. The nut and bridge will be modified and a new set of Irish Tenor Strings (.014 .024w .032w .042w) will be installed.
